I was driving through Jones County saturday on Ten Mile Fork Rd and decided to stop at a cemetery just past Ben Banks Rd. What caught my eye was an old tombstone in the distance that had to predate the 1850s. Decided to stop and take a few photos. The grave belongs to Amaretha Davis, daughter of Nancy and Peter Sturges. Born March 3, 1806 and died Sept. 8, 1820. Also present were the graves of several Banks men who served in the Confederate Army. They are Henry T, Benjamin F, James H, and Joseph B. Banks. The cemetery is very well maintained.

My grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great- grandparents are buried there, but I have been looking for a relation between Amaretha Davis and the Banks family and have no clue. Does anyone know if or how she is related?
